The " Dory II " is a wooden sailboat, self-designed and -constructed.
After five years of construction I started sailing her in the
Adriatic in 1979
for three years. In 1982 we went to the Aegean Sea and she has
been
stationed on the Turkish west coast till today.
I was a journalist by profession and have been sailing for over
40 years.
Since I retired some years ago, I did
onehand-sailing. In the last years
however I had to reduce my sailing to day-trips with a
second sailor,
because of my failing health.
The boat is serviced well in Turkey and
she stays in the water all the year around.
could not sail anymore, I had to sell the Dory II.
Luckily I found two guys who enjoy sailing as much as I did. I wish them
and the wonderful DORY II at least another 30 years of happy sailing
the same as I did.
